Some 30 Internationals and Israelis gathered on April, 22, 2015 at Illegallery 81 for this event in which was launched De-Colonizer's last video entitled "So wait, the Nakba is...?". 

This video is part of a bigger research among Jewish Israelis and their attitude toward the Nakba and the right of return of the Palestinian refugees, conducted for the book Eitan Bronstein Aparicio and Eléonore Merza Bronstein are currently writting. 

 

Before the screening, the participants of the event took an active part in the survey itself, writting what they assume the Israelis' answers would be. 

 

In the second part of the event, a dozen of activists went to the streets of Tel Aviv for a direct action during which the movie was screened several times on the walls of a building near the crowdy Rotschild boulevard (center Tel Aviv). Some tens of people stopped by, asked questions and held discussions about it.
At the same time, activists went with the survey questionnaire and asked the Israelis what they really know about the Nakba and what they think about the right of return. By doing so, we aimed to bring the memory of the Nakba in the Israeli street and challenged the official narrative.

אירוע לציון הנכבה בערב העצמאות הישראלי, 22/4/2015, אילגלרי 81, תל אביב.

 

כ-30 איש/ה התכנסו באירוע זה בו הוקרן לראשונה הוידאו החדש של דה-קולונייזר ״רגע, אז נכבה זה…?״

הוידאו הוא חלק ממחקר רחב בקרב יהודים ישראלים על ידיעתם את הנכבה ועל עמדותיהם על זכות השיבה של הפליטים הפלסטינים, שנערך עבור ספר שאיתן ברונשטיין אפריסיו ואלאונור מרזה ברונשטיין כותבים.

 

לפני ההקרנה המשתתפים לקחו חלק פעיל במחקר.

הם כתבו את הערכותיהם על התשובות של הישראלים לשאלות המחקר.

 

בחלק השני של הערב יצאו מספר פעילות לרחוב להקרין את הוידאו ולשאול עוברי אורח את שאלון המחקר. הוידאו הוקרן מספר פעמים ויצר עניין בקרב כמה עשרות אנשים שעצרו לצפות ולהתעניין בנעשה. אנחנו רואים חשיבות גדולה בציון הנכבה בערב יום העצמאות ברחוב הישראלי.

Une trentaine d'Internationaux et d'IsraélienNEs se sont réunis à Illegallery 81 le 22 avril 2015 pour commémorer la Nakba en cette veille de fête de l'indépendance israélienne. À cette occasion, la dernière vidéo réalisée par De-Colonizer et intitulée "Mais alors, la Nakba c'est...?" a été projetée. 

 

Cette vidéo (sous-titrée en français ici) fait partie d'une recherche plus large menée auprès du public juif israélien concernant leur (re)connaissance de la Nakba et ce qu'il pense du droit au retour des réfugiéEs palestinienNEs. Ce travail de recherche est effectué pour un chapitre du livre qu'Eitan Bronstein Aparicio et Eléonore Merza Bronstein écrivent actuellement. 

 

Avant de visionner la vidéo, les participantEs ont pris une part active à cette recherche en y participant elles/eux mêmes: nous leur avons demandé de deviner quelles sont les positions majoritaires défendues par les IsraélienNEs sur ces sujets (6 questions).

Après la discussion qui a suivie la projection de la vidéo, une dizaine d'activistes a effectué une action directe dans les rues de Tel Aviv au cours de laquelle la vidéo a été projetée sur les murs d'un immeuble public à proximité du boulevard Rotschild. Ces projections ont donné lieu à des discussions avec un public aussi surpris que curieux. Parallèlement, les activistes sont partiEs, questionnaires à la main, demander aux IsraélienNEs ce qu'elles/ils savaient vraiment de la Nakba et ce qu'elles/ils pensaient du droit au retour des réfugiéEs palestinienNEs.

Cette action avait pour objectif de mettre la Nakba au coeur de la rue israélienne, en particulier en cette soirée de "célébrations" de la fête de l'indépendance, et défier le discours hégémonique.
